Aichi Hospital, a Japan Bangladesh Joint venture hospital has started it’s journey at a rental house at Sector # 7 of Uttara Model Town in 1996. Pof. Dr. Moazzem Hossain, the founder Chairman of Aichi Medical College and Hospital achieved his Ph.D degree from Nagoya University School of Medicine in 1995. It was his deram that he will serve the peoples of Bangladesh. So, inspite of lots of opportunities in Japan and other countries, he came back and decided to set up Aichi Hospital. Initially it was a 10 bedded hospital with outdoor and indoor facilities with volunteer service for poor people. Now it has became a 350 bedded hospital. Day by day it was expanding and in 2011, Aichi Hospital has shifted to it’s own campus at Sector # 08 of Uttara Model Town.Thinking the need of community and his previous experiences encouraged him to set up the Aichi Medical College, which is one of the priority based need of our country.

This institution is situated very near to Dhaka International Airport, at the side of the river Turag, provides a calm and charming environment for development of educational and mental skill for the students those who wants to build up careers in medical profession. The institution has started it’s long way with the slogan “Destination for learning and discovery” in 2013 and successfully passing it’s long distances and hoping that you all be our companions.

Late Abdul Alim Mia (1926 – 1979) in Memories

Abdul Alim Mia, a well known philanthropist, was born in Nagarkanda, Faridpur in 1926. He completed his Matriculation form Nagarkanda High School and he obtained Diploma on Health Science in the year 1948. He was one of the honorable members of Governing body of Nagarkanda High School for long time and he was well renowned for his contributions towards society as a social worker. He spent his whole life to serve the humanity and under privileged people. Moreover, his active role as freedom fighter in the liberation war of  Bangladesh in 1971 is  un-deniable. He was blessed with six sons and two daughters and among them Dr. Md. Moazzem Hossain, Founder Chairman of Alim Foundation, is his second  son. He died in 1979.

We Remember Our Glory is Dedicated to Late Kaniz Tania Sweety (1970 – 2009)

We remember Kaniz Tania Sweety was one of our founder Director of Alim Foundation. She was born in July 01, 1970 and completed  her graduation from Home Economics College, Dhaka in 1990 & then got married to Dr. Md. Moazzem Hossain and went to Nagoya, Japan for higher study on Hospital Management. She was also the founder Director of Aichi Hospital, Uttara & spent her whole life to serve the poor and distressed people. She was blessed with one daughter Tasnim Alim Akemi & one son Siam Alim. Suddenly, she died on July 16, 2009.
